Queen's Platinum Jubilee Tea Party

Sandringham Primary, Daycare & Pre-School hosted a whole school Jubilee afternoon tea party on Friday 27 May 2022. We celebrated in a grand way which involved the children and staff dressed as royalty to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We were very grateful to our sponsors, Tesco Express - Romford Road who donated drinks and cookies, Hovis - Forest Gate for a kind donation of 110 loaves of bread, Northern Trust for a donation towards bookmarks for the children, Morrisons – Stratford for their donation of scones and mini cakes, Toor Stores - Green Street for donating cucumbers for the sandwiches and Juniper Ventures for donating cheese and spread for the sandwiches.

The event would not have been possible without the help of some of our parent/carers who gave up their valuable time to help prepare the food and managed to pull off this amazing experience. With a short time of planning, the staff were also able to get a creative display done with their classes which was displayed on panels draped along the school building during the tea party.

With the good weather on our side, the children and staff were able to come together as a whole school after a very long time!
